Tuesday 17th

Its 22.00 and just sitting here watching a film and applying online for jobs.
Helped out this afternoon with my daughter's dolls house installing coving (she's 33yrs old)
Played a tennis match with Ruth against 2 club players in the daytime league. We lost the match but it was an enjoyable game.
Received my second "no thanks" letter yesterday but that's better than hearing nothing at all.
Logging off now.

Second attempt

I typed out the blog startup stuff and promptly lost is before getting it posted. Brilliant!
Anyway, here I am, an out of work beancounter or accountant to the uninitiated.
Don't sign off straight away. I know accountants are boring but you never know.
Its now 11th February and I've been unemployed for six weeks - since 31st December 2008. Me and around 2,000,000 others, though not all since 31st dec.
I have a scintillating visit to the jobcentre+ every second tuesday and have already managed to fill up an entire "what I have done to get work" booklet so I presume I am doing ok. The easy biy is filling out the booklet. Getting a job is proving more difficult.
Anyway, Ruth is out in London at a dinner dance as a guest (along with around 10 other Red Hatters) of the Chelsea Pensioners so I expect they are having a nice time there. That gave me the opportunity to watch the ATP tennis and sit on edge as Andy Murray again made hard work of his latest match. he didn't play like the no. 4 seed/cede what isi it?

I decided to enter the 21st century and start blogging and I'm dying to see what this actually looks like so I'm signing off for now.
Bye
